Alfonso Alberti carries out an intense activity as a pianist in Europe and the United States. Born in 1976, he studied with P. Rattalino and R. Risaliti and followed specialization courses held by M. Damerini, R. Tureck, F. Scala, O. Marshev. He made his debut in the Sala Verdi of the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Milan at the age of seventeen, performing Rachmaninov's Fourth Concerto with the RAI Orchestra. He played, among others, at the Konzerthaus in Vienna, at the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan, at the Passionsspielhaus in Erl, at the LACMA in Los Angeles, at the gardens of the Guggenheim Collection in Venice and Villa Pisani Bonetti in Bagnolo di Lonigo – Andrea's youthful masterpiece Palladio and UNESCO heritage – collaborating with directors such as G. Kuhn, T. Ceccherini, A. Tamayo, P.-A. Valade, F. E. Scogna, Y. Sugiyama, V. Parisi. He held concerts together with well-known musicians, including the flautist P.Y. Artaud, the percussionist M. Ben Omar and the trombonist B. Webb; he collaborates regularly with the Prometeo ensemble and occasionally with other ensembles. He has made numerous solo and chamber CDs, including the solo piano album Cangianti, dedicated to the complete piano works by Niccolò Castiglioni and published by the “Col Legno” label. Again for “Col wood”, Dispositions furtives, with music for solo piano by Gérard Pesson, while a Stradivarius CD will soon be published with the Concerto for piano and orchestra by Goffredo Petrassi (RAI Orchestra of Turin, director Arturo Tamayo). Worthy of note is Alfonso Alberti's commitment to the dissemination and promotion of the music of the past century, with a repertoire that ranges from historical avant-gardes to younger composers. He presented compositions for solo piano by J. Baboni Schilingi, P. Castaldi, O. Coluccino, G. Gaslini, S. Gervasoni, G. Giuliano, D. Lombardi, A. Melchiorre, F. Nieder, G Pesson, R. HP Platz, F. Razzi, G. Shohat, G. Sinopoli, A. Solbiati, Y. Sugiyama, M. Traversa and several other composers, including from the younger generation. Alfonso Alberti combines his activity as a pianist with that of a musicologist: he has published Niccolò Castiglioni, 1950-1966 (LIM, 2007), Vladimir Horowitz (L'Epos, 2008) and Le sonatas di Claude Debussy (LIM, 2008). In 2010, the Sky Classica television channel dedicated a documentary to him for the "Notables" series.
